I have had that happen to me too, but in my case it was a mom and her high school age daughter.

You should have flipped her off.
I was eating lunch with my co-workers and told them about it. They were laughing and asked, "What did you do?" I said, "What do you think I did? Of course I flipped her off." They looked at each other for a minute trying to see if I was serious or not.
