Snow Slide

We had an event at work where employees came in at night and made sledding hills in various snow heaps outside. The public then got to use the sledding runs that weekend. The pizza was great and everyone had a lot of fun. Luckily the weather gave us a break and it was a balmy 25 degrees out (much better then the -35 with wind chills we had suffered through earlier in the week.) The middle shot is looking down a tube slide that goes through the middle of one of the snow piles.

Photos, some old and some new

While we were visiting in Evanston, Andrew and I copied some photos off of Sarah and Kevin's computer. Some of them are from quite awhile ago, but since we didn't have copies of them and decided they were still blog-worthy we are putting them up now. Enjoy the next three posts!

Random Family Photos

Who loves Grandma's chair?

We all do!

Rory

I have a Canon EOS Rebel G camera. I've had it since before digital became the standard. I like it's capabilities, but I LOVE the convenience of my smaller digital Canon (throw it in my purse). I took the last two pictures of Kevin and Rory in Florida. After seeing what their camera can do I am envious. Maybe I'll need to upgrade to something bigger......

Abby Gartner

Today at the vet I walked in and saw the name Abby Gartner on the board that listed the animals being treated. I was a bit shocked to see a name so similar to my maiden name and I was laughing about it with one of the techs there. One of the vets came back and called to an assistant, "Bring Abby Gartner to the scale." The assistant turned and glanced at the board, "Which one is Abby Gartner?" The vet yelled back over his shoulder as he was walking back up front, "She's the b***h in run 2!"

Snug as two Daschunds in a rug....

There was a horrible ice storm tonight. We were over at Lara & Jeremy's and almost ended up staying overnight! It was a good night to be cuddled in a blanket!
